Sanitize document metadata (strip authors, dates, and GPS coordinates), add permanent diagonally-aligned text watermarks, encrypt PDFs with strong AES-256 passwords and permissions, permanently redact sensitive keywords, flatten interactive forms and layers to prevent tampering, strip cryptographic digital signatures, repair and rebuild corrupted or damaged PDF structures with smart OCR, and generate professional PDF bundle summary cover sheets or advanced forensic Excel report registries. Use our zero-storage online sandbox for quick free tasks, or run them completely offline using the professional DocInspector desktop application for absolute privacy. If you want more details about each individual option and clarifications on how they work, you can access our user guide here.
error folder with a detailed log.
ℹ️ The entire page text layer is removed to guarantee no sensitive content remains (image-only output).
⚠️ Note: If your PDF is an image or scanned document, text cannot be found. We recommend selecting "Rebuild & Repair PDF" alongside Redact for OCR, but this will increase processing time.
Our online tool is built on the same isolation principles as the desktop app. Here is the exact data flow from your browser to the processed output.
DocInspector is an advanced document processing suite running on a secure VPS backend. It allows you to select, configure, and chain multiple PDF and Office operations in a single sequential pipeline. Instead of processing files one-by-one, you can drag and drop entire folder hierarchies. Our engine parses the structure, executes your chosen operations (like metadata stripping, watermarking, and PDF/A archiving), and rebuilds the exact folder layout inside the downloaded ZIP archive.
When uploading folders containing hundreds of files, DocInspector keeps track of nesting. If a file fails to process due to corruption or password protection, or if a single file takes too long (exceeding a 5, 10, or 15-minute timeout), the system skips it to prevent stalling the entire batch. The skipped files are segregated into an "error" folder inside the final ZIP alongside a detailed diagnostic report.
They run in a predetermined logical order: first document format conversion and repair, followed by metadata sanitization, watermarking, cenzoring/redaction, flattening, PDF/A archiving, and finally encryption.
Yes. All processing is carried out in isolated sandboxed containers. No files are kept on the server; they are deleted permanently immediately after download or cancellation.
The successful files are returned processed in their correct folders, while the failed or skipped files are isolated inside an "error" subdirectory within the ZIP, together with a text log explaining the issue.
